"My Royal Nemesis" ("Meotjin Sinsegye") is a South Korean fantasy romantic comedy directed by Han Tae-seop and written by Kang Hyun-joo. The show follows a legendary villain from the Joseon era who ends up reincarnated in the body of a struggling modern actress and clashes with a cold, calculating chaebol heir, igniting an intense love-hate romance that transcends centuries.

The cast includes Lim Ji-yeon, Heo Nam-jun, Jang Seung-jo, Lee Se-Hee, Byeon Seo-yun and Kim Min-Seok. "My Royal Nemesis" premiered on May 8, 2026 and streams on Netflix.

Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon to Lead Korean Rom-Com NICE TO NOT MEET YOU

A new Korean romantic comedy series titled "Nice to Not Meet You" has been greenlit by Amazon Prime Video. The show will star Lee Jung-jae ("Squid Game", "The Acolyte") as Lim Hyeon-jun, an actor pigeonholed in detective roles who's angling for meatier dramatic parts.

Lim Ji-yeon ("The Glory") co-stars as Wi Jeong-sin, a political reporter whose beat gets switched to entertainment coverage mid-investigation. The character setup promises fish-out-of-water comedy as the serious journalist clashes with the industry she's now forced to cover.

The series has been described as both an industry satire and romantic comedy, mining humor from the entertainment world's inner workings. Kim Ga-ram ("Good Partner", "Nevertheless") will direct from scripts by Jung Yeo-rang ("Doctor Cha").

The streamer will roll out the series globally across more than 240 countries and territories with weekly episodes. No premiere date has been announced.

Prime Video has a growing slate of Korean originals, including "Head Over Heels", "Good Boy" and the animes "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" and "Rurouni Kenshin".
