"Star Wars" star
Oscar Isaac has signed on to star in and produce the upcoming thriller
"London" for Lionsgate. The film will be directed by
Ben Stiller from a script penned by
"Forrest Gump" and
"A Star is Born" scribe
Eric Roth based on a short story by
Jo Nesbo (
"The Snowman").
The plot of the short story is unknown as details are being kept under wraps. Isaac obtained the rights to the story and will produce via his Mad Gene Media banner with his longtime manager
Jason Spire. Stiller and his producing partner
Nicky Weinstock will produce for Red Hour, while Nesbo will executive produce along with
Niclas Salomonsson.
Erin Westerman, president of production for Lionsgate, released the following statement about the project:

Stiller won a DGA Award for directing the Showtime limited series
"Escape at Dannemora". He is also working on the Apple TV+ series
"Severance".
Isaac can next be seen in the sci-fi epic
"Dune" and he was also filming
Paul Schrader's
"The Card Counter" before production was shut down.
Roth most recently wrote the script for
"Dune" alongside
Denis Villeneuve and
Jon Spaihts, and also adapted
David Grann's book
"Killers of the Flower Moon" for
Martin Scorsese.
