Product Description: New doctors Mary Stevens (Kay Francis) and Don Andrews (Lyle Talbot) launch their practices in the same medical building, where Mary dedicates herself to her patients while facing constant prejudice for being a woman. Despite Mary’s love for him, Don falls for Lois Rising (Thelma Todd), the daughter of a powerful politician, and the two eventually marry, leaving a brokenhearted Mary to move on and focus on her work. As Mary becomes a successful pediatrician, Don’s marriage deteriorates, driving him to drink and eventually threatening his career. Escaping to a resort, he unexpectedly runs into Mary, and the two rekindle their old love. But when Mary finds herself pregnant while scandalously unwed, she’s faced with a dilemma that could destroy everything she’s achieved. What follows is pure vintage Warner pre-Code melodrama, with a shining performance from Francis at her very best.

New on Blu-ray: FORBIDDEN FRUIT - THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE EXPLOITATION PICTURE VOLUME 6 (She Shoulda Said 'No'! / The Devil's Sleep)

Product Description: After producing the wildly successful Mom and Dad, Kroger Babb, the godfather of the exploitation film, scored another coup by securing the involvement of Hollywood starlet Lila Leeds, who had been arrested in a high-profile marijuana bust with Robert Mitchum. “She Should’a Said ‘NO’!” stars Leeds as a party girl recruited by a hard-boiled cop (Lyle Talbot) to take down the sinister dope-pusher (Alan Baxter) responsible for the addiction and death of her brother (David Holt). Not to be outdone, producer George Weiss loaded his gymnasium pill-mill thriller The Devil’s Sleep with three celebrities: Mitchum’s brother John, Charlie Chaplin’s former teen bride Lita Grey, and Mr. America George Eiferman. But stealing the film, as always, was character actor Timothy Farrell, in the first of three appearnces as crime boss Umberto Scalli.
