"American Classic" is a new comedy series created by filmmaker Michael Hoffman ("The Last Station", "The Best of Me") and comedian Bob Martin. The show stars Kevin Kline as a narcissistic Broadway star who suffers a spectacular public meltdown and returns to his tiny hometown and the family-run theater where he first became aware of his own brilliance.

The cast also includes Laura Linney, Jon Tenney, Len Cariou, Nell Verlaque, Jessica Hecht, Tony Shalhoub, Ajay Friese, Billy Carter, Stephen Spinella, Aaron Tveit, Jane Alexander, Elise Kibler and Mark Linn-Baker. It premiered on March 1, 2026 on MGM+.

THE BEST OF ME Trailer and Poster: James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan Romantic Drama

The first trailer and poster for the romantic drama "The Best of Me" have been released. The film is an adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel that stays true to the Sparks brand of romance. Even the poster features the same trademark head-grabbing imagery that looks like every other movie based on the author's works. But, enough ranting for now. The new film stars James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan as a pair of former high school sweethearts who reunite after many years when they return to visit their small hometown. Michael Hoffman ("One Fine Day", "The Last Station") directs from a script by J. Mills Goodloe and Will Fetters. The cast also features Luke Bracy, Lina Liberato, Caroline Goodall and Gerald McRaney

"The Best of Me" opens in theaters on October 17th.
