"Música" is a coming-of-age romantic comedy directed, co-written by and starring Rudy Mancuso in his feature film directorial debut. Mancuso also co-composed the film's original songs. Camila Mendes, J.B. Smoove, Francesca Reale and maria Mancuso co-star. The film premiered on April 4, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.

Camila Mendes To Star In Amazon Studios Romantic Comedy MUSICA

Camila Mendes ("Riverdale") has signed on to star in and executive produce Amazon's upcoming film "Musica". The film will be directed by Rudy Mancuso from a script he co-wrote with Dan Lagana ("American Vandal"). Mancuso will also star, and compose the film's original score and soundtrack.

The film is described as a fresh spin on the rom-com, and it follows a young man (Mancuso), plagued by the music in his head, who has to come to terms with an uncertain future while balancing love, family and Brazilian culture in Newark, New Jersey.

McG and Mary Viola will produce via their Wonderland Sound and Vision banner. John and Sam Shahidi will executive produce alongside Lagana, Steven Bello, and Mendes.

Here's what Mancuso had to say about the project:

"I'm beyond excited to have the wildly gifted mind of Camila join this special journey of Música, where we're telling an authentic Brazilian-American story through the eyes of a synesthete.".

Mendes is also set to star in the Netflix film "Strangers" opposite Maya Hawke.
