Weekend Box-Office: HAUNTING IN VENICE Scared Off By THE NUN Sequel

"A Haunting in Venice", the thrid installment in Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot franchise opened in theaters this weekend, but the debut wasn't strong enough to take down "The Nun II", which continues to dominate by a small margin.

Weekend Box-Office: THE NUN II Scares Away Competition With $32.6M Debut

The latest installment in the Conjuring universe, "The Nun II" performed as well as expected, and dominated an otherwise muted weekend. Another sequel, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" failed to make an impression.

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" is a romantic comedy sequel written and directed by Nia Vardalos, who also stars alongside John Corbett, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone, Lainie Kazan and Andrea Martin. This is the first installment not to star Michael Constantine, who died in 2021, and Bess Meisler. The film opened in theaters on September 8, 2023.
