"Superstar" ("Superestar") is a Spanish biographical miniseries created and co-directed by Nacho Vigalondo ("Colossal", "Paradise Hills", "Daniela Forever"). Set deep in the chaos of the early 2000s, this series reimagines the life of pop icon Tamara and her metamorphosis into Yurena as never seen before.

The cast includes Ingrid García-Jonsson, Secun de la Rosa, Rocío Ibáñez, Natalia de Molina, Pepón Nieto, Carlos Areces and Julián Villagrán. The series is produced by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. It premiered on Netflix on July 18, 2025.

COLOSSAL Trailers, Clips, Images and Posters

Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo ("Open Windows", "The ABCs of Death"), the sci-fi dramedy "Colossal" stars Anne Hathaway as a woman who moves back to her hometown in upstate New York after losing her job and boyfriend, and discovers she shares a strange connection with a giant creature that is wreaking havoc in Seoul, South Korea.

The cast also includes Jason Sudeikis, Austin Stowell, Dan Stevens, and Tim Blake Nelson.

"Colossal" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9th 2016, and received a limited release in theaters on April 7th 2017. It received generally positive reviews.

First Trailer For COLOSSAL Starring Anne Hathaway

The first trailer for the provocative sci-fi film "Colossal" has been released online. Directed by Nacho Vigalondo ("Open Windows"), the film stars Anne Hathaway as a woman on the verge of a mental breakdown who discovers that she shares a psychic connection with a giant monster that is wreaking havoc in Soeul, South Korea. Dan Stevens, Jason Sudeikis and Tim Blake Nelson co-star.

"Colossal" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20th and will be released in theaters on April 7th.

Anne Hathaway to Star in the Monster Movie COLOSSAL

Anne Hathaway ("Les Miserables") has signed on to star in the sci-fi film "Colossal". Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo ("The ABCs of Death"), the film tells the story of Gloria (Hathaway), a woman who, after losing her job and fiancé, discovers that she shares an unusual mental link with events occuring in Tokyo, where a giant lizard is destroying the city. Honestly, when is Tokyo not being destroyed by some gigantic creature ? Gloria is forced to discover how her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

The film is being described as "Godzilla" meets "Being John Malkovich". I wonder how that will work out. Here's what Vigalondo had to say about the movie:

"Colossal is my most ambitious script so far, and probably also the most personal one. Having Anne and this terrific team around goes beyond my craziest expectations."
