Riley Keough To Star in Amazon Series DAISY JONES AND THE SIX

"Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Logan Lucky" star Riley Keough is set to lead Amazon's upcoming musical drama series "Daisy Jones and the Six" created by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber. The show is produced by Reese Witherspoon, while "Mulan" and "The Zookeeper's Wife" helmer Niki Caro is on board to direct the pilot and multiple episodes.

The 12-episode series is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's novel of the same name, and it focuses on the rise and fall of a fictional rock band in the 1970s. Keough stars as the titular protagonist, a spirited and enigmatic singer-songwriter born into privilege but ignored by her selfish parents, who comes of age and rises to rock superstardom against the backdrop of the Los Angeles music scene in the 1970s.

Will Graham ("The Man in the High Castle", "Mozart in the Jungle") will executive produce alongside Witherspoon, Caro, Lauren Neustadter and Brad Mendelsohn.

Keough received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the first season of Starz's "The Girlfriend Experience". Her big screen credits also include "American Honey", "Under the Silver Lake" and "The House That Jack Built". She can currently be seen in the Netflix drama "Earthquake Bird" opposite Alicia Vikander, and recently finished work on Janicza Bravo's "Zola" and Antonio Campos' "The Devil All the Time".

ANNE WITH AN E Trailer, Clips, Images and Poster

The Canadian TV series "Anne", also known as "Anne With an E", is a new adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables".

Amybeth McNulty stars as 13-year-old orphaned Anne, who is sent to live with Marilla (Geraldine James) and Matthew Cuthbert (R.H. Thomson). The first season features seven episodes, and the first is directed by Niki Caro ("Whale Rider", "The Zookeeper's Wife").

"Anne With an E" is now streaming via Netflix.

Based on the non-fiction book of the same name written by Diane Ackerman, the biopic "The Zookeeper's Wife" tells the story of Antonina Żabiński (Jessica Chastain) and her husband, Dr. Jan Żabiński (Johan Heldenbergh), keepers of the Warsaw Zoo, who in 1939 helped save hundreds of people and animals during the German invasion.

The film is directed by Niki Caro ("Whale Rider", "North Country") and also stars Daniel Brühl, Efrat Dor, Iddo Goldberg, Michael McElhatton and Timothy Radford.

"The Zookeeper's Wife" opened in theaters on March 31st, 2017 and received mixed reviews from critics. It performed well in its opening weekend at the box-office, grossing $3.3 million from just 541 theaters.

MCFARLAND, USA - 6 New Clips

Disney's true story sports drama "McFarland, USA" opens today in theaters and we have six new clips for the movie. Niki Caro ("North Country") directs the film which now officially has the best reviews of the week. Critics have commented that while the film bears the usual genre tropes, it manages to somehow rise above them thanks to solid direction and a great cast. The first trailer for Disney's inspirational sports drama "McFarland, USA" has been released. The film, based on a true story, stars Kevin Costner as Coach Jim White, a newcomer to a predominantly Latino high school in McFarland, USA, who turns a team of novice runners into a championship-winning cross-country team. Everything in this trailer screams "inspirational", right down to the U2 song featured in it.
