The 19th season of the period crime drama series "Murdoch Mysteries" has premiered on March 2, 2026 on Acorn TV in the US. The new season consists of 21 episodes, and new episodes will drop weekly on Mondays. Set in Toronto in the early 1900s during the age of invention, the show follows Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) who uses radical forensic techniques to solve some of the city's most gruesome murders. Created by Cal Coons, Alexandra Zarowny and R.B. Carney, the show is based on Maureen Jennings' popular Detective Murdoch series of novels.
