"The Post" is a political drama directed by Steven Spielberg that follows the true story of the country's first female newspaper publisher (Meryl Streep) and a hard-driving editor (Tom Hanks), who alongside the journalists from The Washington Post fought hard to publish the Pentagon Papers and expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents.
The film also stars Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford, Pat Healy and Zach Woodsa.
"The Post" opened in select theaters on December 22, 2017 and expanded nationwide on January 12, 2018. So far, the film has grossed $31.3 million against a $50 million production budget.
