The third season of Genndy Tartakovsky's adult animated horror adventure series "Primal" has premiered on January 11, 2026 on Adult Swim, and next day on HBO Max. The new season follows a resurrected, zombified Spear after his death in Season 2, reanimated by a shaman to fight ape-men. Spear has now become a soulless wanderer searching for meaning as his memories return in fractured forms, while Mira finds a new role in a prehistoric village, exploring themes of grief and purpose with the absence of Fang, leading to a darker, more experimental journey into the occult and the nature of existence.
