"Journey's End" is a historical drama directed by Saul Dibb ("The Duchess") based on the novel of the same name written by R. C. Sherriff.
The film is set during World War I and follows the story of a group of British officers who are faced with an imminent German offensive in the front-line trenches of northern France. The events portrayed are part of the so-called Spring Offensives that took place between March 21, 1918 and July 18, 1918, which were Germany's last efforts to win the war, and ultimately failed.
The cast features Asa Butterfield, Paul Bettany, Sam Claflin, Stephen Graham, Toby Jones, Tom Sturridge and Theo Barklem-Biggs.
"Journey's End" opened in select theaters on March 16, 2018 and received mostly positive reviews.
