Ben Robson (
"Animal Kingdom",
"Vikings") and
Heidi Engerman (
"Candyman") have joined the cast of the second season of Netflix's
"Ransom Canyon" as recurring guest stars in multiple episodes. Filming is already underway.
Based on
Jodi Thomas' books, the show is a romantic western drama starring
Josh Duhamel and
Minka Kelly, which revolves around three Texas Hill Country ranching family dynasties locked in a contest for control of the land, and their lives and legacies are threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life.
The series is filming in New Mexico at Netflix Studios Albuquerque, where Season one was based. The cast also includes
Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada and
Casey W. Johnson.
April Blair serves as showrunner, and executive producers include
Dan Angel, Duhamel, Kelly and
Bradley Gardner.
Engerman is currently in post-production on the drama
"...And Out Comes the Wolf" starring
Giancarlo Esposito, Harol Perrineau and
Ryan Hurst. Robson is also set to star in Fox's upcoming biblical series
"The Faithful".
