The fifth season of the Canadian sitcom Schitt's Creek has premiered on January 8, 2019 on CBC. Created by and starring Eugene Levy and his son Daniel Levy, the show follows rich video-store magnate Johnny Rose and his family, who suddenly find themselves broke and forced to leave their pampered lives to regroup in Schitt's Creek. The cast also includes Catherine O'Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson. and Chris Elliott
