The dramedy "Carrie Pillby" is based on the best-selling coming-of-age novel of the same name written by Caren Lissner, and it stars Bel Powley ("The Diary of a Teenage Girl") as a genius who graduated Harvard at 18, but has difficulty making sense of the world around her. Her psychiatrist (Nathan Lane) devises a deceptively simple checklist of goals for her to achieve between Thanksgiving and the year's end, each goal bringing her closer to a better understanding of life itself.
Directed by Susan Johnson from a script by Kara Holden ("Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life"), the film also stars Gabriel Byrne, Jason Ritter, William Moseley, Vanessa Bayer and Colin O'Donoghue.
"Carrie Pillby" received a limited release in theaters on March 31, 2017 and will be available on demand starting April 4th.
