"Swinging Safari" is an Australian dramedy written and directed by Stephan Elliott ("The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"). The film is set in 1970s Australia and it follows the coming-of-age story of a teenager when a 200-ton blue whale gets washed up on a local beach. The cast features Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Radha Mitchell, Jesse Denyer, Darcey Wilson, Julian McMahon, Asher Keddie, Jeremy Sims and Jack Tompson.

The film opened in theaters on January 18, 2018 in Australia, and in select theaters in the U.S. on June 21, 2019.

In Theaters: TOY STORY 4, CHILD'S PLAY, ANNA, THE COMMAND and SWINGING SAFARI

Disney and Pixar are looking to break new box-office records this weekend with their latest film "Toy Story 4". The sequel did not disappoint as both critics and moviegoers have showered it with praise. So far, the film has brought in $12 million from Thursday evening previews, which is the second largest preview gross for an animated film ever, behind "The Incredibles" ($18.5 million). And, it already broke the pre-sale record, outperforming "Incredibles 2". Pundits are predicting a massive $165 million opening weekend from 4,575 theaters.

For the adults we have the horror remake "Child's Play", which it seems turned out better than expected. The critical and audience reception is mostly mixed, which is actually not that bad considering how much of a cult classic the original is. The film is off to a decent start with $1.65 million from Thursday previews (1,700 theaters), and could finish the weekend with $17 million from 3,007 theaters.

Luc Besson's new action film "Anna" was also released in theaters on Friday to harsh reception from critics. Moviegoers seem to enjoy it a bit more, but it looks like the film won't be much of a challenger at the box-office. It only brought in $325,000 on Thursday from 1,700 theaters, and will probably end the weekend with less than $5 million.

In limited release, you should definitely check out the submarine drama "The Command", based on the real-life tragedy of the Kursk submarine disaster, and the Australian dramedy "Swinging Safari" starring Guy Pearce and Kylie Minogue.

• The British romantic dramedy "Hampstead" starring Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleeson. The film is directed by Joel Hopkins ("Last Chance Harvey").
• The 1950s drama "The Mountain" starring Jeff Goldblum and Tye Sheridan. The film is directed by Rick Alverson ("The Comedy") and it's inspired by the life of Dr. Walter Freeman, a Philadelphia physician who became one of the earliest and leading practitioners of lobotomy in the early 1940s, despite his lack of experience in neuroscience.
• HBO's upcoming drama series "Euphoria" starring Zendaya. The show, which is a remake of the Israeli TV series of the same name, is being executive produced by rapper Drake.
