Weekend Box Office Fantastic Four Massive Drop

"The Fantastic Four" isn't holding as well as "Superman" did, but it's still the top movie at the box-office in its sophomore frame, holding its own against a batch of new arrivals that included the spoof comedy reboot/sequel "The Naked Gun" and the animated sequel "The Bad Guys 2". Meanwhile, the body horror film "Together" starring real-life husband and wife Dave Franco and Alison Brie pulled off a decent debut for Neon.

As expected, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" was a hit for Marvel and easily their biggest compared to recent releases like "Captain America: Brave New World", "Thunderbolts" and "The Marvels", but it's still very far from the studio's big hits of yesteryear, proving that "superhero fatigue" is very much a real thing. With no other major wide releases hitting theaters over the weekend, smaller films like the rom-com "Oh, Hi!" and the horror film "The Home" made it into the Top 10.
