Product Description: From acclaimed horror director, Eli Roth, The Green Inferno follows New York college student Justine, who meets a student activist Alejandro when he goes on a hunger strike on behalf of underpaid janitors. Smitten, Justine agrees to help Alejandro undertake his next project: to save the Amazon. Justine soon learns to regret her decision when their plane crashes in the Peruvian jungle and the students discover that they are not alone, and that no good deed goes unpunished as they are held captive by a cannibalistic tribe.

Weekend Box-Office: HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 Scores Best September Opening

Over the weekend "Hotel Transylvania 2" broke records while Nancy Meyers's "The Intern" and Eli Roth's "The Green Inferno" did okay. Not very good news for "Everest", though.

In Theaters: HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2, THE INTERN, THE GREEN INFERNO, PAWN SACRIFICE

This week in theaters we have a variety of genres. We have the animated sequel "Hotel Transylvania 2" that kids will love, the Nancy Meyers comedy "The Intern", a welcome relief from all the CGI-heavy blockbusters, and the gore-filled horror "The Green Inferno" from writer/director Eli Roth for a little pre-Halloween warm-up. In limited release, make sure you check out the Bobby Fischer biopic "Pawn Sacrifice" featuring an Oscar-worthy performance by Tobey Maguire. More about each movie after the jump.

THE GREEN INFERNO Trailer, Clips, Images and Posters

Today we have the official trailer, clips, images and posters for the horror film "The Green Inferno" which is now in theaters. Directed by Eli Roth, the film is a throwback to gore extravaganzas like "Cannibal Holocaust" as it tells the story of a group of student activists who travel to the Amazon to save the rain forest only to end up on the menu of a local tribe of cannibals. The cast features Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Aaron Burns, Magda Apanowicz, Daryl Sabara, Ignacia Allamand, Sky Ferreira and Ramón Llao.
