The Man From Uncle 2015 New On Bluray And 4k

Product Description: With Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, director Guy Ritchie established himself as a master of bravura set pieces and buddy movie banter, before proving he could successfully meld the irreverent spirit with classic properties in his Sherlock Holmes adaptations. Now, Ritchie brings his signature touch to his big-screen translation of the beloved 1960s television spy show, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

1963: in the thick of the Cold War, roguish CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) forms an uneasy alliance with brooding KGB officer Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer, Call Me by Your Name) to thwart a criminal organization with apocalyptic intentions. The rebellious daughter of a missing nuclear scientist (Alicia Vikander, Ex Machina) is their only ticket inside the sinister ring – but to whom is she truly loyal? A desperate race against time will determine whether the scientist’s atomic research will shatter the delicate balance of power in the world.

A thrilling spy romp with rich period detail and an infectious soundtrack of cool pop classics, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. puts a colorful, contemporary twist on 1960s espionage and delivers pure entertainment with swaggering ease.

in-theaters-straight-outta-compton-the-man-from-uncle-mistress-america-return-to-sender

This week in theaters, we have two new wide releases battling for the top spot. The first is the hip-hop biopic "Straight Outta Compton" which has been getting some solid reviews, and the second is Guy Ritchie's 1960s actioner "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." which received mostly mixed notices from critics. In limited release there's Noah Baumbach's indie comedy "Mistress America" starring Greta Gerwig, and the thriller "Return to Sender" starring Rosamund Pike in a role that critics are calling a phoned-in reprise of her "Gone Girl" performance. More about each movie after the jump.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Movie Clips

Guy Ritchie's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." is now in theaters, so here are nine new clips from the movie. The film has received a relatively mixed reception from critics. The eye-popping set pieces, great sense of style and charismatic stars all received high marks, but the shallow plot was largely disliked. In the end, though, it seems that there's just enough to like about the movie to justify seeing it on the big screen.

Adapted from the 1960s TV series of the same name, the film stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Debicki and Jared Harris.
