Product Description: The Promise stars Kathleen Quinlan and Stephen Collins as two star-crossed lovers who forced apart by betrayal in this moving love story. A car accident leaves Michael Hillyard (Collins) comatose and tragically disfigures Nancy McCallister (Quinlan). Michael’s mother (Beatrice Straight) needs him for the family business and sees this as an opportunity to separate the two and destroy their relationship. She offers to pay for plastic surgery if Nancy promises to never see her son again. Convinced Michael could no longer love her, Nancy accepts the offer. Believing Nancy was killed in the accident, Michael throws himself into his career. A year later, he is assigned to a project in San Francisco, where Nancy has assumed a new identity to go with her new face. The new DVD and Blu-ray releases for the week of July 18, 2017 include the reboot "Kong: Skull Island", the historical drama "The Promise", the action thriller "Free Fire", the animated film "Resident Evil: Vendetta", the indie mystery drama "Buster's Mal Heart" and the horror comedy "Another Evil".

The new home video releases also include new seasons for the TV shows "The 100", "The Expanse" and "Grantchester".

We also have some new classic film releases: "The Last of the Finest", "No Man's Land", "Stormy Monday" and the Criterion Collection edition of Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker".

THE PROMISE Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Posters

The historical drama "The Promise" tells the story of a love triangle set during the Armenian Genocide between a brilliant medical student (Oscar Isaac), a beautiful and sophisticated woman (Charlotte Le Bon), and a renowned Associated Press journalist (Christian Bale). The three share an Armenian heritage, and their conflicting passions are set aside as they join forces to save their people and survive the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

Directed by Terry George ("Hotel Rwanda"), the film also stars Shohreh Aghdashloo, Tom Hollander, Angela Sarafyan, Jean Reno, Roman Mitichyan and Rade Serbedzija.

"The Promise" opened in theaters on April 21, 2017 to a mixed critical reception and a poor box-office performance. The film grossed only $4.1 million from 2,251 theaters in its opening weekend.

Weekend Box-Office: FATE OF THE FURIOUS Scores $900M Worldwide

For a second consecutive weekend at the box-office, "The Fate of the Furious" topped the charts and continued to sweep ticket sales worldwide, while newcomers "Unforgettable", "The Promise" and "Phoenix Forgotten" were overtaken by Disney's nature documentary "Born in China".

Open Road Films has released a new trailer for the historical drama "The Promise".

Directed by Terry George ("Hotel Rwanda"), the film is set during the last days of the Ottoman Empire, and it follows a love triangle between a brilliant medical student (Oscar Isaac), a beautiful and sophisticated woman (Charlotte Le Bon), and a famous American photojournalist (Christian Bale).

The cast also includes Shohreh Aghdashloo, Angela Sarafyan, Tom Hollander, James Cromwell, Jean Reno and Rade Serbedzija.

"The Promise" is set to open in theaters on April 21st.
