"The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King" is a new anime series based on the manga of the same name also known as "The Barbarian's Bride" written and illustrated by Noriaki Kotoba. The original manga began in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in January 2021, with 10 volumes released in Japan to date. Seven Seas Entertainment releases an English-language version of the series under the title "The Barbarian's Bride".
The anime is directed by Takashi Yamazaki ("BLUE LOCKO") directs at studio Jumondo, with series composition by Miya Asakawa, main character designs by Masayoshi Kikuchi ("The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World") and music by Alisa Okehazama ("The Apothecary Diaries").
The opening theme song, "Beautiful" is performed by Mayu Maeshima, while the ending theme song is "Shiru Beki Koto" performed by Sajou no Hana. The cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro, Satoshi Inomata, Hana Hishikawa, Aki Toyosaki, Miyu Tomita, Hiroshi Kamiya, Hisako Kanemoto and Ayaka Asai. The English dub features Madeleine Norton, Cris George, Lexi Nieto and Sean Letourneau.
"The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King" premiered on April 9 and also streams on Crunchyroll.
