"Total Control" is an Australian political drama series created by Darren Dale, Miranda Dear, Rachel Griffiths and Stuart Page.
The six part series stars Griffiths as Australian Prime Minister Rachel Anderson, who selects Alexandra "Alex" Irving (Deborah Mailman), a charismatic Indigenous woman, who was thrust into the national limelight after a horrific event, for a vacant Senate seat. However, Alex wants to be more than just a political stunt: she wants to make a difference.
"Total Control" premiered on October 2019 on ABC TV in Australia, and on December 17, 2020 in the U.S. on Sundance Now.
