"American Sweatshop" is a mystery thriller directed by TV helmer/cinematographer Uta Briesewitz ("Stranger Things", "The Wheel of Time") in her feature directorial debut from a script by Matthew Nemeth ("City on a Hill"). Produced by Barry Levinson ("Rain Man", "Wag the Dog") and Tom Fontana ("Oz"), the film stars Lili Reinahrt, Daniela Melchior, Joel Fry, Christiane Paul, Tim Plester, Faith Delaney, Jeremy Ang Jones and Max Croes.

"American Sweatshop" premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival as part of the Narrative Spotlight category. It opened in select theaters on August 29, 2025, and was released on digital platforms on September 19th.
