The Searchers 2024 New On Bluray 4k

Product Description: Working together for the 12th time, John Wayne and director John Ford forged The Searchers into a landmark Western offering an indelible image of the frontier and the men and women who challenged it. Wayne plays an ex-Confederate soldier seeking his niece, captured by Comanches who massacred his family. He won't surrender to hunger, thirst, the elements or loneliness. And in his five-year search, he encounters something unexpected: his own humanity. Beautifully photographed by Winston C. Hoch, thrillingly scored by Max Steiner, and memorably acted by a superb ensemble including Jeffrey Hunter, Vera Miles, Natalie Wood and Ward Bond, The Searchers endures as a great film of enormous scope and breathtaking physical beauty (Danny Peary, Guide for the Film Fanatic). Named the greatest American Western by the American Film Institute in 2008, The Searchers was among the first 25 films deemed culturally or aesthetically significant by the U.S. Library of Congress in 1989, when it was inducted in its National Film Registry. Now meticulously restored from its original negative, this new presentation of The Searchers presents this masterpiece with unparalleled image quality, accompanied by an impressive array of special features.

Sergeant Ryker 1968 New On Bluray

Product Description: In the wake of a failed raid during the Korean War, Sgt. Paul Ryker (screen great Lee Marvin, Prime Cut) is charged with aiding the enemy. Ryker’s defense rests on the notion that he was ordered to carry out a secret offensive against the North Koreans. But because the mission was so closely guarded, nobody can vouch for him. Capt. David Young (Bradford Dillman, Compulsion) is the Army’s prosecutor, but his impartiality comes under scrutiny when it’s revealed that he has been wooing Ryker’s wife, Ann (Vera Miles, 23 Paces to Baker Street). In the end, the case is decided by the strange testimony of a lone soldier. Is Ryker innocent, or should he hang? This stirring courtroom drama from director Buzz Kulik (Warning Shot, Shamus, The Hunter) also stars Peter Graves (Stalag 17), Lloyd Nolan (Portrait in Black), Murray Hamilton (Jaws) and Norman Fell (Bullitt).

the-wrong-man-1956-new-on-dvd-and-blu-ray

Product Description: The Wrong Man is like and unlike any other Alfred Hitchcock movie. The story packs tension, the images are spellbinding and the dilemma genuinely frightening. But this time the master of suspense dramatizes the harrowing true experiences of a man tried for crimes committed by a lookalike robber.

Henry Fonda plays musician Manny Balestrero, a man full of visible but unspoken rage at his wrongful arrest. Vera Miles is his distraught wife Rose, driven to madness by the ordeal. And the right man to bring the unsettling facts of the case to vivid screen life with documentary precision is Hitchcock. He made New York City a star of the film and cast real-life Balestrero case witnesses in small roles. He shot in many actual locations, among them the Stork Club, Manny's jail cell and Rose's sanitarium.
