"The Dutchman" is a thriller directed by Andre Gaines from a script he co-wrote alongside Qasim Basir ("Mooz-lum") based on the 1964 play "Dutchman" by Amiri Baraka. The film stars André Holland, Kate Mara, Zazie Beetz, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Aldis Hodge and Lauren E. Banks. It premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, and opened in select theaters on January 2, 2026. On February 3rd it was released via streaming.
