Vincent D'Onofrio, Kate Mara, Clancy Brown And More Join Netflix's Las Vegas Drama Series THE ROMAN

Five new actors have been added to the cast of Netflix's upcoming drama series "The Roman": Vincent D'Onofrio ("Daredevil: Born Again", "The Beauty"), Kate Mara ("A Teacher", "Imperfect Women"), Clancy Brown ("I Will Find You", "The Penguin"), Thomas Sadoski ("The Newsroom", "Wild"), and Jason Schwartzman ("The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes", "Asteroid City"). D'Onofrio and Mara will star in series regular roles, Clancy and Sadoski will have recurring appearances, and Schwartzman will appear in a guest star role.

The cast is led by Oscar Isaac alongside Betty Gilpin, Alec Baldwin, David Costabile, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Jimmy O. Yang. Here is the official synopsis: "An hour-long drama set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed present-day Las Vegas casino business, which is a modernized but still dangerous version of the legendary city. At the center of which stands Robert "Bobby Red" Redman (Isaac), president of the hottest hotel casino in town, who has to make some long odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground."

D'Onofrio will play Dominic Ward, a powerful MMA mogul, who uses his "knockout power" to manipulate the casino bosses vying for his massive live events. Mara stars as Holly Reeve, a sultry and highly educated entrepreneur who runs the city's most exclusive and discreet empire, and shares a deep, complicated history with Bobby.

Brown plays Elwood, a weathered and imposing figure with deep ties to the desert landscape. Elwood is a man of few words and significant actions who knows exactly where the city's literal and metaphorical bodies are buried. Sadoski will play Chef Luca, a brilliant but self-destructive superstar chef whose personal entanglements and rock-star antics threaten to derail his high-end restaurant residency at The Roman.

Schwartzman will guest star as David Krupp, a clean-cut heir and "freshwater fish" whose mounting casino debts thrust him into the high-pressure crosshairs of the Las Vegas elite.

The show is written, executive produced and showrun by Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The first two episodes will be directed by JC Chandor. Isaac will also executive produce via Mad Gene, alongside Martin Scorsese via Sikelia Productions, Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn for Expanded Media, Paul Schiff, Beth Schacter, Kerry Orent and Chandor.

IMPERFECT WOMEN Series Trailers, Clip, Images and Posters

"Imperfect Women" is a psychological thriller series created by Annie Weisman based on Araminta Hall's novel of the same name. The show focuses on a 10-year friendship between three women, played by Kate Mara, Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, that is broken when a criminal investigation reveals their dark secrets. The cast also includes Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Sandrine Holt, Rome Flynn, Ana Ortiz, Keith Carradine and Leslie Odom Jr. The series premiered on March 18, 2026 on Apple TV.

THE DUTCHMAN (2025) - Trailer, Images and Poster

"The Dutchman" is a thriller directed by Andre Gaines from a script he co-wrote alongside Qasim Basir ("Mooz-lum") based on the 1964 play "Dutchman" by Amiri Baraka. The film stars André Holland, Kate Mara, Zazie Beetz, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Aldis Hodge and Lauren E. Banks. It premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, and opened in select theaters on January 2, 2026. On February 3rd it was released via streaming.

Kate Mara to Star in Sci-Fi Thriller THE ASTRONAUT Alongside Gabriel Luna and Laurence Fishburne

Emmy-nominated actress Kate Mara ("House of Cards", "A Teacher", "The Martian") has signed on to star in the sci-fi thriller "The Astronaut". The film is written and directed by Jess Varley ("Phobias"), who is making her writing and directorial debut. Gabriel Luna ("Terminator: Dark Fate") and Laurence Fishburne ("The Matrix") co-star.

The film follows astronaut Sam Walker (Mara) who returns from her first space mission and is found miraculously alive in a punctured capsule floating deep off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Expecting to be reunited with her husband (Luna), she finds herself placed under intense NASA surveillance in a high security house for rehabilitation and medical testing under the control of General William Harris (Fishburne). However, when disturbing occurrences begin happening around the property, she fears that something extraterrestrial has followed her back to Earth.

Filming is expected to begin this October, in Ireland under an interim SAG-AFTRA agreement.

"The Astronaut" is produced by Fuller Media's Brad Fuller ("A Quiet Place", "The Purge" films) and Cameron Fuller, alongside Wonder Company's Eric B. Fleischman ("Sleight") and Chris Abernathy ("Barbarian").

Highland Film Group is representing international rights to "The Astronaut", at the Toronto International Film Festival. CAA Media Finance and the UTA Independent Film Group are co-repping domestic rights.

Brian Tyree Henry, Kate Mara to Star in Limited Series CLASS OF 09 for FX on Hulu

Brian Tyree Henry ("The Atlanta") and Kate Mara ("A Teacher") will lead the eight-part drama limited series "Class of '09", which is set to air on FX on Hulu.

Hailing from by Tom Rob Smith (writer of "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story"), Nina Jacobson & Brad Simpson ("Pose" producers), the series follows a group of FBI agents who graduated from Quantico in 2009 who are reunited following the death of a mutual friend.

Spanning three decades and told across three interweaving timelines, the series examines the nature of justice, humanity and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and our legacy. Smith will write and executive produce with Jacobson and Simpson.

Henry will play Tayo Miller, one of the most brilliant and unorthodox agents ever to join the Bureau, a man who seeks not merely to make his mark on the institution but to remake it entirely. Mara will play Amy Poet, a woman who never imagined joining the world of law enforcement and finds herself at the center of its most pivotal moment of transformation.

Directed by John Curran ("The Painted Veil") from a script by Andrew Logan and Taylor Allen, the suspenseful historical drama "Chappaquiddick" chronicles the true story of the 1969 investigation surrounding the fatal car accident that involved Ted Kennedy (Jason Clarke) and claimed the life of his young campaign strategist, Mary Jo Kopechne (Kate Mara). The film also stars Ed Helms, Jim Gaffigan, Bruce Dern, Olivia Thirlby and Clancy Brown.

"Chappaquiddick" opened in theaters on April 6, 2018 and received mostly positive reviews from critics. It grossed $6.4 million from 1,506 theaters in its opening weekend at the box-office.

20th Century Fox has released the teaser trailer and poster for the sci-fi thriller "Morgan".

The film is the directorial debut of Luke Scott (Ridley Scott's son), and it stars Kate Mara as a corporate troubleshooter who is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she has to determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being's (Anya Taylor-Joy) life. While the premise brings to mind the recent "Ex Machina", all the secrecy surrounding the project hints at something more.
