New on DVD and Blu-ray: February 28, 2017

The new DVD and Blu-ray releases for the week of February 28, 2017 include Marvel's "Doctor Strange" movie, the World War II spy drama "Allied" starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard, the Oscar-winning drama "Moonlight", and Warren Beatty's latest directorial effort "Rules Don't Apply". New Blu-ray collections include "The Raid" films and Richard Linklater's "The Before Trilogy".

Weekend Box-Office: MOANA Conquers Thanksgiving while ALLIED and BAD SANTA 2 Disappoint

It wasn't quite an epic battle for supremacy at the box-office this Thanksgiving, with only Disney's "Moana" doing well over the five-day timeframe, while "Allied", "Bad Santa 2" and "Rules Don't Apply" failed on all fronts.

This week in theaters it's time for Disney to once again make a lot of money with their guaranteed-to-be-a-hit animated feature "Moana". For grown-ups we have the wartime romance "Allied" starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard, the R-rated comedy sequel "Bad Santa 2", and Warren Beatty's new film "Rules Don't Apply".

Written and directed by Warren Beatty, the romantic dramedy "Rules Don't Apply" tells the story of an aspiring actress (Lily Collins) and an ambitious driver (Alden Ehrenreich), who both work for eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes (Beatty) and fall in love, thus breaking Hughes' #1 rule, which says that no employee is allowed to have any relationship whatsoever with a contract actress.

The film also stars Haley Bennett, Taissa Farmiga, Matthew Broderick, Candice Bergen, Paul Sorvino, Martin Sheen, Annette Bening and Oliver Platt.

"Rules Don't Apply" is now in theaters.

"Rules Don't Apply" is Warren Beatty's first writer/director project since his 1998 comedy "Bulworth". The film takes place in 1958, and it stars Alden Ehrenreich as a young ambitious driver working in Hollywood who falls in love with an aspiring actress and devout Baptist virgin (Lily Collins). The problem is that both of them are under contract to the infamous Howard Hughes (Beatty), who specifically prohibits any relationship between his employees and a contract actress.

The film also stars Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Haley Bennett, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Dabney Coleman, Steve Coogan, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris, Megan Hilty, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen.

"Rules Don't Apply" opens in theaters on November 11th.
