"The Brink of War" is a Cold War historical political drama written and directed by Michael Russell Gunn in his feature directorial debut. The story is set during the 1986 Reykjavik Summit, and it stars Jeff Daniels as Ronald Reagan, Jared Harris as Mikhail Gorbachev, and J.K. Simmons as George Shultz. Hope Davis, Branka Katic, Aya Cash and Guy Byrnet also star. The film opened in theaters on August 14, 2026.

Jeff Daniels To Star Opposite Brendan Fraser In Sci-Fi Thriller STARMAN

Two-time Emmy winner Jeff Daniels ("The Newsroom", "The Martian") is set to star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Starman" written and directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Josh Wakely ("Beat Bugs", "Motown Magic"). Filming is set to begin this summer.

The film follows Tom Adams (Brendan Fraser), an architect of the future who launches a historic expedition to Mars, positioning himself at the forefront of humanity's next great frontier. But when unforeseen events strand him millions of miles from Earth, his mission becomes an urgent race against time—driven not by survival alone, but by love. Daniels will play Ed Watkins, the protective and powerful co-leader of a transformational company he built alongside Tom, a man who means far more to Ed than the company itself.

The film is produced by Wakely and Rebecca Graham through Grace: A Storytelling Company. Eddie Vaisman also produces via Sight Unseen ("Rental Family"). David S. Goyer ("Batman Begins") executive produces alongside Tarek Sherif, Ryan Graves, Matt Tedder and Sight Unseen's Julia Lebedev. The film is financed by Sherif and Graves. Anton is handling international sales.

Daniels can next be seen opposite Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in the upcoming fifth season of Apple's "The Morning Show". He is also set to star as former President Ronald Reagan in the Cold War thriller "The Brink of War" opposite J.K. Simmons and Jared Harris. He recently wrapped production on Netflix's "2034" directed by Joseh Gordon Levitt, in which he stars opposite Rachel McAdams.

Product Description: The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how at the time, the FBI and the CIA may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. The series follows members of the I-49 Squad in New York and Alec Station in Washington D.C., the counter terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA, respectively, as they travel the world fighting for ownership of information while seemingly working toward the same goal – trying to prevent an imminent terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

Jeff Daniels stars as I-49 Squad chief John O’Neill who faces a deliberate lack of cooperation from other intelligence organizations within the federal government, after he’s convinced the United States has been targeted for an attack by Al-Qaeda. His counterpart within the CIA, the frequently antagonistic Martin Schmidt (Peter Sarsgaard), assumes the CIA is the only government agency equipped to battle potential terror threats from abroad. He disobeys presidential orders and purposely keeps information from the FBI. THE LOOMING TOWER Miniseries Trailers, Featurette, Images and Posters

Based on Lawrence Wright's non-fiction book "The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11", the 10-part miniseries "The Looming Tower" chronicles the rise of Osama bin Laden and takes a controversial look at how the rivalry between the CIA and FBI inadvertently might have set the stage for the tragedy of 9/11 and the war in Iraq.

The series is written and executive produced by Dan Futterman ("Foxcatcher", "Capote") and it stars Tahar Rahim, Alec Baldwin, Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bill Camp and Jeff Daniels.

"The Looming Tower" premiered today, February 28, 2018, on Hulu. The show received a positive critical reception and it has been reported that if it proves successful enough, Hulu might order a sequel series which could focus on the birth of the Muslim Brotherhood.

GODLESS Miniseries Trailers, Images and Poster

"Godless" is a seven-part western limited series created by "Logan" writer Scott Frank. The story follows an outlaw, Roy Goode (Jack O'Connell), who hides out at the ranch of a widow (Michelle Dockery) from a mining town in New Mexico, which is mysteriously made up entirely of women, after betraying his partner in crime (Jeff Daniels), who is hot on his heels for vengeance.

The cast also includes Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kayli Carter, Kim Coates, Scoot McNairy, Sam Waterston, Rob Morgan, Jessica Sula and Rio Alexander.

"Godless" premiered all seven episodes on November 22nd, 2017 via Netflix. The series received mostly positive reviews from critics

5 New Clips from ALLEGIANT Starring Shailene Woodley

Lionsgate has released five new clips for "The Divergent Series: Allegiant". The film is now in theaters and has been mauled by critics. It now stands at a franchise-low score of just 10% on Rottentomatoes.com and that same lack of enthusiasm will probably be felt at the box-office this weekend, as well.

Directed by Robert Schwentke ("Insurgent"), the film stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels, Octavia Spencer, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim and Naomi Watts.
