The second season of the award-winning medical drama series "The Pitt" has premiered on January 8, 2026 on HBO Max. Created by R. Scott Gemmill, the show stars Noah Wyle, Ned Brower, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden and Isa Briones.

New cast members include Sepideh Moafi as a series regular, and Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Lawrence Robinson, Brittany Allen, Bonita Friedericy, Taylor Handley and Jeff Kober in recurring roles.

Sepideh Moafi Joins THE PITT Season 2 As Series Regular

"The L Word: Generation Q" and "Black Bird" actress Sepideh Moafi has joined the series regular cast of HBO Max's hit medical drama "The Pitt". Moafi will play an attending physician in emergency medicine.

Creator R. Scott Gemmill has said in interviews that the second season will take place over the Fourth of July weekend and that it would feature a time jump, new characters and possible promotions for the cast set to return. Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, and Lucas Iverson have joined the recurring cast.

The show chronicles the daily lives of healthcare professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital as they juggle personal crises, workplace politics, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients, with a real-time twist.

Noah Wyle leads the cast, executive produces and writes. The ensemble cast also includes Katherine LaNasa, Tracy Ifeachor, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez, Gerran Howell and guest star Shawn Hatosy.

"The Pitt" is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The cast includes Taron Egerton, Paul Walter Hauser, Sepideh Moafi, Greg Kinnear and Ray Liotta. The series premiered on July 8, 2022 on Apple TV+.
