New Trailers: PRIMETIME, CHRISTMAS AT THE KRINGLES, GHOSTS: THE POSSESSION OF BUTTON HOUSE, LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, STRANGLEHOLD and HERESY

Today we have new trailers for:
  • A24's biographical drama "Primetime" starring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, the host of reality TV series "To Catch a Predator".
  • The holiday horror comedy "Christmas at the Kringles" starring Ron Livinston, Rachel Bilson, Thomas Lennon, Arden Myrin and Rob Riggle.
  • The British horror comedy "Ghosts: The Possession of Button House", a feature film continuation to the original series "Ghosts" that features the original cast, including Simon Farnaby, Jim Howick, Mathew Baynton and Lolly Adefope.
  • The drama "Long Day's Journey Into Night" starring Jessica Lange, Ed Harris, Ben Foster and Colin Morgan. The film is based on Eugene O'Neill's acclaimed play of the same name, which earned Lange a Tony. The film is directed by Jonathan Kent, who also directed Lange in the 2016 Broadway revival.
  • The darkly funny crime thriller "Stranglehold" staring Ashley Benson, Jake Lacy, Justin Long, Ron Perlman, Elle King and David Arquette.
  • The folk horror film "Heresy" directed by Didier Konings, best known for his work as concept artist on films like "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". The cast includes Anneke Sluiters, Len Leo Vincent, Reinout Bussemaker and Nola Elvis Kemper.

Synopsis:

"Salvation can be found in the darkest of places in Heresy, Didier Konings’ (Thor: Love and Thunder, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) lauded folk horror fable, that’s steeped in religious terror and repression and has drawn comparisons to Robert Eggers’ The Witch.

Garnering praise galore on its festival run Heresy is now set to make its highly anticipated UK digital debut on 28 September, courtesy of GrimmVision.

In a small Dutch village in the Dark Ages, Frieda (Anneke Sluiters) attempts to be a good wife, contributing to her community, saying her prayers, focusing on becoming a mother and doing what is expected of her.

But after a traumatic encounter with one of the villagers in the woods, a presence saves Frieda’s life, latching itself onto her and throwing her belief system into question. Returning from the woods unscathed, her community becomes suspicious that it was not God who brought her back safely, but a dark force cloaked in fog that lurks beyond the forest.

As the otherworldly creature follows Frieda, strange things start to occur in the village, and Frieda is accused of witchcraft. As she tries to defend herself, her rage only grows and her family and friends turn their backs on her in the name of God.
