SYNOPSIS

JUMP BACK TO TOP

"Based on true events, “Tenzing” chronicles the little-known story of Tenzing Norgay, a gifted Himalayan climber who, alongside New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary, became the first to summit Mount Everest. After persuading the British climbing team that he belongs as an equal member rather than just a servant, Tenzing sets out on a historic ascent. The climb is defined as much by the tensions between backgrounds, classes, and competing ambitions as by the perils of the mountain itself. Ultimately, it is a story of greatness, mutual trust between two outsiders, and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and spiritual calling."
