The sixth and final season of the historical drama series "Vikings" has premiered on December 4, 2019 on History. The new season will consist of double the usual number of episodes, which will be split into two parts, with the second part set to premiere in 2020.
Created by Michael Hirst ("The Tudors", "Elizabeth"), the show is set in the brutal and mysterious world of Ragnar Lothbrok, a Viking warrior and farmer who yearns to explore and raid the distant shores across the ocean. The cast features Katheryn Winnick, Alexander Ludwig, Peter Franzen, Alex Hogh, Marco Ilsom, Georgia Hirst, Adam Copeland, and Jordan Patrick Smith.
