Batman The Brave And The Bold Movie

"The Flash" and "It" series helmer Andy Muschietti has signed on to direct Warner Bros' new Batman movie, titled "The Brave and the Bold". The project is based on the comic series authored by Grant Morrison, and is one of several new DC Studios titles mapped out by James Gunn and Peter Safran earlier this year. Gunn has called Morrison's work "exceptionally influential" on the DC Universe.

The comics imagine a "Bat family", where Bruce Wayne's biological son Damian serves as Robin to his dad's Batman. The project does not currently have a screenwriter attached. The film will exist separately from Robert Pattinson's "The Batman" series.

Warner Bros Pictures and Warner Bros Television Group/Max have inked separate multi-year first-look deals with filmmaker Andy Muschietti and producer-sister Barbara Muschietti through their Double Dream banner. The Muschiettis are currently working on the "It" prequel series "Welcome to Derry" for HBO.

The Muschiettis' Warner Bros motion picture deal runs for three years, under which they will develop and produce tentpoles with the potential to direct. Under their multi-year deal with Warner Bros Television Group and Warner Bros Discovery's MAX, the duo will continue to develop new television series for multiple platforms, including MAX and all external outlets.

Gunn and Safran's first phase of projects is called "Gods and Monsters" and will feature both standalone films and series. One of these projects is the Superman film written by Gunn, now officially titled "Superman: Legacy". Other projects include a Wonder Woman prequel series and a Green Lantern mystery series. Lesser known DC characters, including Booster Gold and Swamp Thing, will also be introduced.

Batman The Long Halloween New On Bluray And 4k

Product Description: Inspired by the iconic mid-1990s DC story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One begins as a brutal murder on Halloween prompts Gotham's young vigilante, the Batman, to form a pact with the city's only two uncorrupt lawmen (Police Captain James Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent) in order to take down The Roman, head of the notorious and powerful Falcone Crime Family. But when more deaths occur on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it becomes clear that, instead of ordinary gang violence, they're also dealing with a serial killer – the identity of whom, with each conflicting clue, grows harder to discern. Few cases have ever tested the wits of the World's Greatest Detective like the mystery behind the Holiday Killer.

Inspired by the iconic mid-1990s DC story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two continues as the Holiday Killer is still at large and, with Bruce Wayne under the spell of the venomous Poison Ivy, Batman is nowhere to be found. Liberated by an unlikely ally, Bruce quickly uncovers the real culprit: Poison Ivy's employer Carmine Falcone. The Roman, his ranks decimated by Holiday and his business spinning out of control, has been forced to bring on less desirable partners – Gotham City's rogues' gallery. In the meantime, Harvey Dent is confronting battles on two fronts: attempting to end the mob war while also dealing with a strained marriage. And, after an attack that leaves Harvey hideously disfigured, the District Attorney unleashes the duality of his psyche that he's strived his entire life to suppress. Now, as Two-Face, Dent decides to take the law into his own hands and deliver judgment to those who've wronged him, his family and all of Gotham. Ultimately, the Dark Knight must put together the tragic pieces that converged to create Two-Face, the Holiday Killer, Batman and Gotham City itself.

BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN – EVOLUTION OF EVIL (New Featurette) – The mystery surrounding the Holiday Killer shrouds Gotham in a sinister darkness forcing Batman to stop the villain's assault on the city. This is a comprehensive look at The Long Halloween with original writer, Jeph Loeb, and filmmakers.

Michael Keaton in Talks to Return as Batman for FLASH Movie
Oscar-nominated actor Michael Keaton, the star of Tim Burton's popular films "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns" (1992), is in talks to reprise the iconic role for Warner Bros' DC movie "The Flash". The film will be directed by "It" helmer Andy Muschietti from a script by Christina Hodson ("Birds of Prey").

Ezra Miller is on board to star as Barry Allen, a role he previously played in Zack Snyder's "Justice League". The story, inspired by the 2011 DC Comics crossover event "Flashpoint", finds Barry Allen going back in time to prevent the death of his mother, which results in the creation of an alternate universe protected by an older Batman (Keaton).

The plot will introduce the DC Comics concept of the multiverse, which includes alternate universes with different versions of the same characters. For DC Comics, the multiverse was a convenient way of dealing with the company's revisions of characters throught their history, and it should also serve the DC Extended Universe just fine whenever recasting or rebooting is required.

If the deal goes through, Keaton's Batman will be featured in several other DC-oriented film projects in a way similar to Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a mentor, guide, perhaps even a "string-puller". He will also appear in "Batgirl", another project in development at Warner Bros. This Batman will have nothing to do with Matt Reeves' upcoming "The Batman", which stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role and is said to be similar to the "Joker" standalone movie.

"Flash" is scheduled to begin production in London next Spring.

batman-beyond-complete-series-new-on-bluray

Product Description: Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Batman Beyond premiered on January 10, 1999 to instant ratings and critical success. The series would run for three seasons, covering 52 total episodes and a full-length animated film, Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker. Nominated for nine Emmy Awards, Batman Beyond would ultimately take home two Emmys – including Outstanding Special Class Animated Program in 2001 – as well as three Annie Awards.

Of the 52 original Batman Beyond episodes, 41 have been fully-remastered from either their original 35mm film source or the uncommon format “OCND,” the original camera negative digital (a digital scan of original negative). Lines and resolution have been enhanced, and dust and dirt have been removed – however, cell dirt remains to not disturb the original picture. Included in the remastering was the removal of grain, resulting in enhanced colors. The remastering process does cause a slight aspect ratio change (approximately 3% loss of screen image).

The extraordinary Batman Beyond: The Complete Animated Series Limited Edition package features approximately 1,500 minutes of entertainment spread over four Blu-ray™ discs, plus the two bonus discs of enhanced content. In addition to a newly-remastered Blu-ray presentation of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, there are 15 featurettes on the bonus discs, highlighted by two new inside looks at the beloved television series, led by Nostalgic Tomorrow, a gathering of Batman Beyond production talent and cast led by executive producer Bruce Timm and actors Kevin Conroy and Will Friedle, the voices of Batman and Terry McGinnis, respectively. The bonus discs also spotlight four episodes with audio commentary from Timm and select members of the production team.

Due to time-worn irreparable damage, the remaining 11 episodes were “Smart Rezzed” from standard definition Digibeta video. The process provides for significant enhanced resolution and improvement of the original source material in converting from standard to high definition, though it does sacrifice horizontal lines for clearer image and color representation. While still a marked improvement over the original video, viewers will notice a slight difference between the Remastered and the Up-Rezzed final footage. The 11 affected episodes are: “Eyewitness,” “Final Cut,” “The Last Resort,” “Armory,” “Sneak Peek,” “The Eggbaby,” “Zeta,” “Plague,” “April Moon,” “Sentries of the Lost Cosmos” and “Speak No Evil.”

Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis in Talks to Join THE BATMAN

Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell could be the latest additions to the cast of Matt Reeves' upcoming DC movie "The Batman". Both actors are currently in negotiations. The film will not be another origin story, but rather a "defining" and "very personal" story about the Dark Knight.

Serkis will reteam with Reeves, who also directed him in two "Planet of the Apes" movies, and will play Alfred Pennyworth, the Dark Knight's butler. Farrell is in talks to star as The Penguin, and will join a hefty roster of villains for the film, alongside Paul Dano as The Riddler, and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

The film also stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, and Jeffrey Wright as the Dark Knight's ally Commissioner Gordon. "The Batman" will open in theaters on June 25, 2021.

Serkis is next set to direct "Venom 2" for Sony Pictures. Farrell is currently filming the miniseries "The North Water".

Paul Dano Joins THE BATMAN as The Riddler
After the recent announcement that Jonah Hill is no longer in the running for the role of the Riddler in Matt Reeves' upcoming DC Comics movie "The Batman", we now have a definitive answer to this conundrum.

Paul Dano has been cast as the villain, who in this film will be known as Edward Nashton. The director is apparently looking for a more grounded take on the character, as opposed to Jim Carrey's cartoonish version in 1995's "Batman Forever". The film, which Reeves has described as being "a point-of-view-driven, noir Batman tale", also stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

Production on "The Batman" will begin later this year or early 2020. The release date has been set for June 25, 2021.

Dano recently received an Emmy nomination for his role in the 2018 Showtime limited series "Escape at Dannemora". He is also set to star in Jane Campion's drama "The Power of the Dog" opposite Kirsten Dunst and Benedict Cumberbatch.
