"Preparation for the Next Life" is a drama directed by Bing Liu ("Minding the Gap") from a script by playwright Martyna Majok ("Cost of Living") based on the 2014 novel by Atticus Lish. The cast includes Fred Hechinger ("Gladiator II") and Sebiye Behtiyar. The film opened in select theaters on September 5, 2025, and was released on streaming platforms on September 16, 2025.
