Game Awards Winners 2024 - The Complete List

"Astro Bot" was the big winner at this year's Game Awards, winning 4 trophies, including Game of the Year. The other nominees included "Balatro", "Black Myth: Wukong", "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree", "Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth", and "Metaphor: ReFantazio".

"Balatro", a poker-style indie game from solo-developer LocalThunk, won Best Debut Indie, Best Independent Game and Best Mobile Game. "Metaphor: ReFantazio" also won 3 awards, while "Black Myth: Wukong", "Helldivers 2" and "Senua's Sage: Hellblade 2" are tied with 2 wins each.

Tencent's Amir Satvat was honored with the show's first-ever Gamechanger award for his effort in helping developers hit by the gaming industry-wide layoffs this year find new work. The Players' Voice award (open online vote) went to "Black Myth: Wukong".

Game Awards Nominations 2024: The Complete List

The Game Awards 2024 nominations have been announced. "Astro Bot" and "Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth" and tied with the most nominations with seven apiece. This year's show marks the 10th anniversary for the awards. The games vying for Game Of The Year include "Astro Bot", "Balatro", "Black Myth: Wukong", "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree", "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth", and "Metaphor: ReFantazio". The Game Awards will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and will take place on December 12th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

New Trailers: STARSHIP TROOPERS, WARHAMMER 40K: BATTLESECTOR, EVIL GENIUS 2, MASS EFFECT LEGENDARY EDITION and BLACK MYTH: WUKONG

Today we have new trailers for:

• The upcoming real-time strategy game "Starship Troopers: Terran Command", which was due out sometime in 2020, but was delayed. Still no official release date, but it's expected to be released sometime between April and June.
• The fast-paced turn-based strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector" developed by Black Lab, creators of "Battlestar Galactica Deadlock". The new video is a gameplay reveal.
• The supervillain management sim sequel "Evil Genius 2: World Domination", for which Rebellion released a new gamplay video.
• "Mass Effect Legendary Edition", which will feature a semi-remake of the first game in the trilogy, and a remaster of the other two. All remastered in 4K.
• The action RPG "Black Myth: Wukong" from indie Chinese developer Game Science. The game is based on the classic novel "Journey to the West"
