"Breaking News in Yuba County" is a dramedy directed by Tate Taylor ("The Help") from a script by Amanda Idoko.

The film focuses on a woman (Allison Janney) who takes advantage of her growing celebrity status when the police and the public think her dead husband is just missing. The cast also features Mila Kunis, Awkwafina, Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes, Juliette Lewis, Samira Wiley, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins Jr., Bridget Everett, Dominic Burgess, Keong Sim, Chris Lowell, Matthew Modine and Ellen Barkin.
