The 2023 comedy "House Party" is a reboot/sequel of the 1990 film of the same name. The film is directed by Calmatic from a script by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, and it stars Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, D.C. Young Fly and Scott Mescudi. The film was originally set for release on HBO Max on July 28, 2022, but was instead released in theaters on January 13, 2023 for a 17-day exclusive theatrical run before moving on to streaming.
