HOUSE PARTY (2023) - Trailer, Featurette, Images and Poster

The 2023 comedy "House Party" is a reboot/sequel of the 1990 film of the same name. The film is directed by Calmatic from a script by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, and it stars Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, D.C. Young Fly and Scott Mescudi. The film was originally set for release on HBO Max on July 28, 2022, but was instead released in theaters on January 13, 2023 for a 17-day exclusive theatrical run before moving on to streaming.

Weekend Box-Office: AVATAR Sequel Leads MLK Frame and Nears $1.9 Billion

James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water" is doing solid business at the Martin Luther King holiday box office and is getting closer to the $2 billion milestone. New releases this week include the action thriller "Plane" starring Gerard Butler, and the remake "House Party". The Tom Hanks starrer "A Man Called Otto" expanded nationwide.

• The comedy "Bar Fight!" starring Melissa Fumero ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine"), Luka Jones and Rachel Bloom.
• The new Netflix musical comedy "Matilda the Musical" based on Roald Dahl's classic children's novel, and the 2010 musical by Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly. The cast includes Alisha Weir, Lashana Lynch, Andrea Riseborough, Stephen Graham and Emma Thompson.
