Product Description: Following the death of her father, Alice (Ruth Wilson) returns home to Yorkshire for the first time in 15 years, to claim the tenancy of the family farm she believes is rightfully hers. Once there she encounters her older brother Joe (Mark Stanley), a man she barely recognizes, worn down by years of struggling to keep the farm going while caring for their sick father. Joe is thrown by Alice’s sudden arrival, angered by her claim and finds her presence increasingly impossible to deal with. Battling to regain control in a fraught and fragile situation, Alice must confront traumatic memories and family betrayals to find a way to restore the farm and salvage the bond with her brother before both are irrevocably lost. DARK RIVER Trailer, Clip, Featurette, Images and Posters

Written and directed by Clio Barnard ("The Selfish Giant") and based in part on the novel "Trespass" written by Rose Tremain, the British drama "Dark River" stars Ruth Wilson as a woman who returns to her home village for the first time in 15 years, following the death of her father, to claim from her estranged brother (Mark Stanley) the family farm she believes is rightfully hers. Sean Bean, Steve Garti and Shane Attwooll co-star.

"Dark River" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was released in theaters in the U.K. on February 23, 2018, and in the U.S. on June 29, 2018. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics.

In Theaters: SICARIO - DAY OF THE SOLDADO, UNCLE DREW, LEAVE NO TRACE and DARK RIVER

The gritty action thriller "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" is now in theaters. The sequel to the 2015 film directed by Denis Villeneuve stars Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro. Reviews for the film have been mixed to positive. Another new wide release is the basketball comedy "Uncle Drew" starring real-life basketball player Kyrie Irving.

In limited release it might be worth checking out the dramas "Leave No Trace" starring Ben Foster, and "Dark River" starring Ruth Wilson.
