captain-underpants-movie-trailers-clips-featurette-images-and-posters

DreamWorks Animation's "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" is an adaptation of the children's novel series of the same name by Dav Pilkey.

Directed by David Soren ("Turbo") from a script by Nicholas Stoller ("Storks"), the film follows the adventures of two overly imaginative pranksters (voiced by Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch), who hypnotize their principal (Ed Helms) into thinking he's a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.

The film also features the voices of Jordan Peele, Nick Kroll, Kristen Schaal, Brian Posehn and DeeDee Rescher.

"Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" opened in theaters on June 2nd, 2017 and received mostly positive reviews from critics. It finished its opening weekend at the box-office in second place behind Warner Bros' "Wonder Woman" with $23.5 million. While not a great result, the film only cost $38 million to produce, making it the lowest-budgeted CG film in DreamWorks' portfolio.

The film also features the voices of Steve Buscemi, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel, Conrad Vernon and James McGrath.

"The Boss Baby" opened in theaters on March 31st 2017 and received mixed to negative reviews. The film is expected to gross about $50 million in its opening weekend, possibly finishing ahead of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast".

It was a good weekend for both the PG-rated animated family film "Home" and the R-rated comedy "Get Hard". Both films opened strongly in first and second place, respectively, with plenty of good business left over for last week's No. 1 movie "Insurgent" and Disney's "Cinderella". Also, the indie horror film "It Follows" made a spectacular entry into the top 10.
