Dwayne Johnson's very expensive Christmas action comedy "Red One" topped the box-office charts and ended "Venom: The Last Dance"'s three-week reign, but failed to impress despite being the weekend's only new wide release. Overall, earnings were down over 36% compared to the same frame last year which saw the release of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" in theaters.
