Three new wide and semi-wide releases are opening in theaters this weekend, but it looks like "Halloween" will hold at the top of the charts for a consecutive week. The first is the British action comedy "Johnny English Strikes Again" starring Rowan Atkinson opening in around 500 theaters, which probably won't make the Top 10. Then there's the submarine thriller "Hunter Killer" starring Gerard Butler in 2,720 theaters, and the Pure Flix faith-based drama "Indivisible" in 830 locations.
As you can see, the weekend offerings are pretty soft, and all three films have been receiving mostly negative reviews from critics. On a more interesting note, Luca Guadagnino's "Suspiria remake is making its debut in select theaters this weekend, and Jonah Hill's directorial debut "Mid90s" is expanding nationwide.
