"Just Getting Started" is the first film written and directed by Ron Shelton since his 2003 action/comedy "Hollywood Homicide". The film stars Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones as a mob lawyer and an ex-FBI agent who must put aside their differences when the mafia comes calling at the Villa Capri retirement home where they now live.

The film also stars Rene Russo, Glenne Headly (her final film appearance), Joe Pantoliano, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Elizabeth Ashley.

"Just Getting Started" opened in theaters on December 8, 2017 and received a very negative reception from both critics and moviegoers, and ultimately tanked at the box-office with a $3.2 million debut, the 21st worst opening of all-time (adjusted for inflation).

It was a quiet weekend at the box-office, with just one modest new wide release, so Disney and Pixar's "Coco" once again topped the charts. Meanwhile, "The Disaster Artist" and "Lady Bird" continue to impress as they expand further.

This week in theaters we only have one new wide releases, the comedy "Just Getting Started" starring Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Rene Russo. Don't get your hopes up, though, critics are saying this one is a dud. Also, James Franco's "The Room" has expanded nationwide. Some other good stuff can be found in limited release, including the biopic "I, Tonya" starring Margot Robbie and the documentary "Quest". There's also the mystery drama "November Criminals" starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Ansel Elgort, but that one is apparently not very good, either.
