"Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant!" is a new fantasy cooking series based on the Japanese light novel series written by Yuki Kimikawa, illustrated by Gaou, and published in Japan by Overlap under their Overlap Novels imprint.
The series was first serialized on the Japanese self-publishing site Shosetsuka ni Naro by Kimikawain 2018 before being picked up for print in 2019 with illustrations by Gaou. It was then adapted into an ongoing manga in 2020 from Tsumumi. As of December 2024, the series boasts 850,000 copies in circulation. Kaiten Books also publishes an English language version of the manga adaptation with artwork by Tsumumi.
The series is directed by Joji Shimura ("Tamagotchi!") at studio OLM. Series composition is handled by Deko Akao ("WITCH WATCH"), with character designs by Aoi Yamato ("Life With an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout") and music by Masato Koda ("Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill").
The ending song is "Magokoro My Heart" by Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu, and the opening song is "Unique" by Dannie May. The voice cast includes Shunsuke Takeuchi, Marika Tachibana, Sayumi Suzushiro, Mariya Ise, Satsumi Matsuda, Ryōta Suzuki and Chika Anzai.
"Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant!" premiered in Japan on TOKYO MX and other stations on July 3, 2025, and it is also streaming on Crunchyroll.
