The second season of the thriller series "Absentia" has premiered on July 2, 2019 on AXN. Created by Gaia Violo and Matt Cirulnick, the show stars Stana Katic as FBI agent Emily Byrne who disappears without a trace while hunting one of Boston's most notorious serial killers, and is declared dead in absentia. Six years later, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive and with no memory of the years that she was missing. The new season finds Emily struggling to reconnect with her son and seeking out the truth of her missing time with the help of Boston police detective Tommy Gibbs (Angel Bonanni).
