New TV Trailers: THE BOMBING OF PAN AM 103, STAR WARS: VISIONS PRESENTS - THE NINTH JEDI, THE GREATEST, SPARKS OF TOMORROW, BEAT & MOTION and MS. X

Today we have new trailers for:

• Netflix's six-part British miniseries "The Bombing of Pan Am 103" based on the real life case of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing. The cast includes Connor Swindells, Peter Mullan, Eddie Marsan, Patrick J. Adams, and Merritt Wever.
• The Disney+/Hulu animated miniseries "Star Wars: Visions Presents — The Ninth Jedi" from Lucasfilm and Japanese anime studios Production I.G.
• The biographical drama series "The Greatest" that chronicles the life of iconic boxing champion Muhammad Ali. Produced in collaboration with Ali's estate, the show is created by Ben Watkins ("Hand of God", "Cross"), and it stars Jaalen Best, Giovanni Ribisi, Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Kai Parham and Michael Ealy.
• Netflix's new anime series "Sparks of Tomorrow" from Kyoto Animation
• The Netflix anime series "Beat & Motion" based on the manga by Naoki Fujita.
• The dark Australian drama series "Ms. X" starring Melissa George and Dean O'Gorman.

Melissa George To Star In New Zealand Crime Dramedy MS. X

Golden Globe nominee Melissa George ("The Mosquito Coast", "In Treatment") has signed on to star in "Ms. X", a new crime dramedy dramedy commissioned in New Zealand for free-to-air network Three and BVOD service ThreeNo, owned by Warner Bros Discovery. Production started on June 2nd, and the series is expected to release in 2026.

Written and created by New Zealanders Hannah Marshall and David de Lautour, the show follows a suburban mother (George) who teams up with an old high school friend to scare her cheating husband into staying faithful. But when things accidentally turn homicidal, she is pulled into a criminal underworld, caught between the cops, the cartel and a vicious PTA.

De Lautour will also direct. Gareth Williams, Marshall, and De Lautour will executive produce for Plus6Four Entertainment, alongside Kelly Martin for South Pacific Pictures, and Daniel March for Dynamic Television.

Plus6Four and South Pacific Pictures will produce, with Dynamic Television co-producing and handling worldwide distribution. The series is made possible with funding from NZ On Air and the NZ Screen Production Rebate.

Daniel March, Managing Partner at Dynamic Television, had this to say about the project: "'Ms. X' is a distinctive, fast paced crime thriller that's both relentless, suspenseful and fun. Melissa George is a global star who will make Ms. X a character audiences won't soon forget".

EP-showrunner Marshall added: "'Ms. X' is a darkly comic look into the New Zealand criminal underworld, that blends our unique brand of kiwi humour with a twisting crime story, made specifically for a global audience".

South Pacific Pictures' CEO, Martin, said: "Ms. X is an exciting new series from Hannah and David – alongside Melissa we have some of NZ's very best performers and practitioners and we look forward to delivering a world class series".

THE MOSQUITO COAST Season 2 - Trailer, Images and Poster

The second season of the drama series "The Mosquito Coast" premiered on November 4, 2022 on Apple TV+. Created by Neil Cross based on the novel of the same name by Paul Theroux, the show stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, Gabriel Bateman, Ian Hart and Natalia Cordova-Buckley.

"The Mosquito Coast" is a limited series created by Tom Bissell and Neil Cross based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Paul Theroux. The book was previously adapted into Peter Weir's 1986 film which starred Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren and River Phoenix.

The series follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox (Justin Theroux), who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government. Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman also star.

The miniseries premiered on June 4, 2021 on Apple TV+.
