Club Zero 2023 New On Bluray

Product Description: At an international boarding school, an unassuming, yet rigorous, Miss Novak (Mia Wasikowska) joins the teaching staff to instruct a new class on "conscious eating." Her impressionable teenage students each have their own reasons for joining the class - to improve fitness, reduce their carbon footprint, or get extra credit. Although early lectures focus on mindful consumption, Miss Novak's discussions soon become increasingly disordered and extreme. A suspicious headmistress, concerned parents and the failing health of her students lead everyone to question the inscrutable Miss Novak's motivations for teaching the class. As a few devoted pupils fall deeper under her cult-like tutelage, they are given a new, even more sinister goal to aspire to - joining the ominous "Club Zero." Combining a pitch-black comedic sensibility with elements of body horror, CLUB ZERO satirizes contemporary inclinations toward myopic insularity and blind faith brought on by anxieties regarding food, consumerism and environmental catastrophe. "Riddled with uncomfortable dialogue, audacious sequences, and a piercing score," this "future cult classic" (Screen Rant), which had it's world premiere in competition at Cannes, is the latest from Austrian writer/director Jessica Hausner, one of Europe's most fearless and provocative auteurs.

alice-through-the-looking-glass-movie-clips-pictures

Disney has released six new clips and twenty-six images for the sequel "Alice Through the Looking Glass". The film is now in theaters.

From the critics' point of view, the sequel is a rare Disney misfire. Despite being visually impressive, the film lacks the charm of Lewis Carroll's wonderful world and fails to deliver a worthy story. Some say it improves on Burton's previous film by being less dark and violent, but that isn't saying much.

Directed by James Bobin ("The Muppets"), the film stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Rhys Ifans, Matt Lucas, Ed Speelers, Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, Toby Jones, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Paul Whitehouse and Barbara Windsor.

in-theaters-jurassic-world-me-and-earl-and-the-dying-girl-madame-bovary-the-wolfpack

One of the most highly anticipated movies of 2015, "Jurassic World" opened today in theaters to a lukewarm reception from critics and some pretty enthusiastic reactions from the fans. Overall, it might not be the franchise revival everyone dreamed of and it's nowhere near the mass positive reaction to "Mad Max: Fury Road", but it will probably provide plenty of dino fun for a hot summer weekend.

But enough about the dull Hollywood blockbuster, here's what you can find in select theaters. Among the limited releases this week we have the Sundance winners "Me & Earl & the Dying Girl" and the documentary "The Wolfpack", which have picked up plenty of positive reviews and each film approaches painful topics in original ways. And finally, there's the new adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's "Madame Bovary" starring Mia Wasikowska which, unfortunately, didn't resonate with critics, but may be worth a look. More about each movie after the jump.
