Diane Kruger, Ray Nicholson to Star in Neil LaBute Thriller OUT OF THE BLUE

Diane Kruger ("Inglourious Basterds", "Troy"), and Ray Nicholson ("Promising Young Woman", "Mayans M.C.") are set to star in the new thriller "Out of the Blue" from filmmaker Neil LaBute ("In the Company of Men", "The Shape of Things").

The film has been described as a contemporary tale of passionate love, deceit and the perfect murder. Nicholson stars as Connor, a man whose dull life is transformed into a thrilling fantasy world thanks to the seductive Marilyn (Kruger). He plunges headlong into the adulterous affair; the ex-con with a heart of gold seemingly destined for the raven-haired trophy wife. The only hitch in their idyllic new life together? Marilyn's trapped in a nightmare with an abusive husband and vulnerable stepdaughter. Desperate and with a history of violence, Connor will do almost anything to see him dead.

Filming will start this week in Rhode Island. Jeff Sackman and Larry Greenberg will executive produce for Quiver Entertainment, which packaged the project and arranged the film's financing with BondIt Media Capital. Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor and Tyler Gould will executive produce for BondIt. Quiver will handle worldwide distribution of the film and introduce it to international buyers at next week's Toronto Film Festival.

Kruger can next be seen in the action film "The 355" alongside Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz and Lupita Nyong'o. Nicholson will next star in Thomas Torrey's thriller "All the Names We Buried".

VAN HELSING Season 5 Trailer, Images and Poster

The fifth and final season of the post-apocalyptic supernatural horror series "Van Helsing" has premiered on April 16, 2021 on SyFy. Created by Neil LaBute, the show stars Kelly Overton, Jonathan Scarfe, Vincent Gale, Aleks Paunovic and Tricia Helfer.

The fourth season of the fantasy horror series "Van Helsing" has premiered on September 27, 2019 on Syfy. Created by Neil LaBute ("In the Company of Men"), the show is set in the near future, where vampires have risen and taken control, and it focuses on Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton) a distant relative of famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, who is resurrected to lead an offensive to take back what has been lost. The cast also includes Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, Vincent Gale and Rukayi Bernard. The new season adds Tricia Helfer as Dracula.

THE I-LAND Limited Series Trailers, Images and Poster

"The I-Land" is a seven-episode limited series created by playwright/filmmaker Neil LaBute ("In the Company of Men"). Written by LaBute and Lucy Teitler, the series follows ten people who wake up on a mysterious tropical island with no memory of who they are and how they got there. The cast features Kate Bosworth, Alex Pettyfer, Kyle Schmid, Gilles Geary, Kota Eberhardt, and Natalie Martinez.

"The I-Land" is set to premiere on September 12, 2019 on Netflix.

SOME VELVET MORNING Trailer & Poster - Alice Eve, Stanley Tucci

The first trailer for Neil LaBute’s psychological drama "Some Velvet Morning" have been released. Stanley Tucci stars as Fred, a man who arrives at the doorstep of his mistress Velvet (Alice Eve) after four years apart, claiming to have finally left his wife. When she rejects his attempts to rekindle their romance, things take a dark and surprising turn.

"Some Velvet Morning" will be released on VOD and digital platforms on December 10th, but it will also get a limited theatrical run on December 13th.
