Cameron Diaz is making her comeback to acting, and it looks to be more definitive than originally thought. The actress is in negotiations to join the upcoming dark comedy
"Outcome", in which she would star alongside
Jonah Hill and
Keanu Reeves.
The film is directed by Hill from a a script he co-wrote alongside
Ezra Woods, and it tells the story of Reef (Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.
There are no details available regarding Diaz's role.
"Outcome" will be produced by
Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin and Hill under their Strong Baby banner. The film reteams Hill and Apple Original Films as they are also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with
Martin Scorsese's Sikelia Productions.
After stepping back from Hollywood in 2018, Diaz's first comeback project is Netflix's action comedy
"Back in Action" in which she will co-star alongside
Jamie Foxx.
