Disneynature's PENGUINS Trailers, Clips, Featurettes, Images and Poster

"Penguins" is Disneynature's fifteenth nature documentary, and it follows an Adélie penguin, on a quest to find a life partner and start a family. The film is directed by Alastair Fothergill ("Bears") and Jeff Wilson, and narrated by Ed Helms ("The Hangover").

"Penguins" was released in thetaers on April 17, 2019, five days before Earth Day.

Box-Office: THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA Tops Easter Weekend

The new Conjurverse installment "The Curse of La Llorona" secured the top spot at the box-office with ease. Meanwhile, the other Easter weekend newcomers fell short of expectations, while old releases enjoyed a small holiday boost.

In Theaters: BREAKTHROUGH, THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA, PENGUINS and TEEN SPIRIT

This weekend, it's a box-office showdown between a faith-based drama and the new Conjuring spinoff. The former, the inspirational true story drama "Breakthrough" is the first Disney release of a 20th Century Fox film, and so far it brought in $1.55 million from Thursday previews and is on track to finish the weekend with around $13 million from 2,824 theaters.

The other major contender is "The Curse of La Llorona" starring Linda Cardellini, the sixth installment in "The Conjuring" universe. Although loosely tied to the popular franchise, the film is poised to top the charts this weekend with as much as $17 million from 3,372 theaters after grossing an estimated $2.75 million from previews.

The two other new releases this weekend are the Disneynature documentary "Penguins", which is expected to bring in $4.5 million from 1,815 theaters, and the expanded release of "Teen Spirit" starring Elle Fanning.

Jim Carrey's back to his old antics in this comedy directed by Mark Waters ("Mean Girls", "Freaky Friday"). Tom Popper's life changes when he inherits six penguins. Tom is quite a disappointment to his family and, since the plot requires it, a very selfish man. But he's about to learn a thing or two about responsabilities. The usual stuff. The trailer presents us with the movie's plot and probably reveals all the funny scenes. Not sure how this movie ranks in Carrey's career. It seems to channel some of his older (and funnier) movies like "Liar, Liar". Opens June 17, 2011, although it seemed better suited for a December release.

I don't know about this. It looks really weird. Not that Jim Carrey is a stranger to weird. Although, I suppose being a family film aimed at children could account for that. It just caught me by surprise. Anyway, this is a short movie (42 min), so it's not likely to bore the crap out of anyone. Carrey doing the penguin dance from Mary Poppins, with a personalized finale, is a treat. Oh, and those real penguins they mention in the synopsis above, kind of look like CGI penguins most of the time. Due for release on June 17, 2011.
